So I was actually thinking through the Sidereal and Tropical stuff and I think there’s an interesting point about tropical- because Tropical is bound to the seasons- I wouldn’t exactly call it astrology. It’s more like a kind of geomancy where the stars are actually signs of EARTHLY influences, think about it. The signs being ties to the seasons means the primary influence is earthly because the seasons are an earthly phenomenon and an important one when it comes to character development. I mean, the earth IS a celestial body and has the most profound impact, so that’s a thing. The parts of tropical astrology then that are actually astrological in the strictest sense would be aspects. So considering it this way, it’s not really so much about the influence of the stars in their current positions, it’s about using the stars as markers for the earth’s influence.

Some deep insights there Vic. I like this approach.. much more nuanced. The idea of a shifting intensity depending on the amount of light present with the luminaries is a great interpretative principle. And instead of good/bad, the gentle/soft/indulgent vs harsh/cold/spartan. But I'm not sure about the nodes.. will have to spend more time contemplating.

Einstein's 5th house lord is not Mars, it's actually Venus because his cusps are funky, they are not where you would expect them to be based on where the ascendant is. My chart is the same way, I think this is actually not uncommon. His Venus is in exile in Aries, so correct me if i am wrong but his 5th house lord is not doing so well?

I dare to argue this. If i remember right, in Hari Varsha deity worshipped was Narasimha Dev, and in middle Europe, Germany, France, Alps, have been find ten thousands of ancient Narasimha deities. Above Hari Varsha deity worshipped was a Bear. I am from Finland and Bear are here still very respected and we have heared stories that in long time ago people here had this idea that Bears are higher forms than humans and bear was worshipped. Also in Russian area we can see this. And old Finnish Language by the way very similar with older version of Sanskrit

What about the yogas that group Mercury as a benefic? (E.g. Sarasvatī/GoddessOfLearning, Cāmara/RoyalFan and Dhana/Prosperity)? Should we "drop" these yogas or modify them, or, could we just consider that they really should have always been described as "benefics and/or Mercury" or "Jupiter, Venus and/or Mercury"? (E.g. because all three are relevant to the theme of the particular yoga, e.g. learning/creativity/friendliness/wealth?)

Finding this now so glad to see his chart comparison we have the same house signs in tropical. I’m Gemini ascendant in Vedic and cancer rising in tropical and find that makes more sense for me. But I have cancer stellium in Vedic and Leo stellium in tropical. But makes sense the planets change it and offset the differences in the two type of charts.
